We used to be so close,
the best of family.
The two of us,
just you and me.
You knew everything about me,
I thought that I knew you;
But the you I knew was different,
I didn't have a clue.
We were as close, as close could get,
but then it happened, you two split.
And the my trust,
just kind of quit.
How could you?
you lied to me.
When you left,
it made me see.
So many things you'd told me,
were all just stupid lies.
When it was truly official,
I finally opened my eyes.
What happened to us?
what happened to we?
What happened to you?
what happened to me?
Now I haven't got anyone,
nobody I can trust.
Haven't got anyone

Falling Apart 'Baby Bird'
watching someone fall apart is like watching a baby bird fall from its nest in a rain storm. you want to run to it, pick it up, and put it right back where it belongs, but it's too cold, to windy, and too damn wet outside. so you stay snuggled up on the inside, turn back to the book you were reading, or the movie you were right in the middle of, and forget about the bird until you find its limp, bruised corpse lounging in your lawn the next day, decomposing in a puddle of dirty water.
then you feel bad for it. (after you finish the movie, of course...)
so, getting an old spade from the garage, you scoop it up, slightly appa
I sit on my bed night after night, my head hanging down, barely touching my hands. My palms are wet and probably salty, due to the tears that I've been crying incessantly lately. My eyes are red, my breathing is shallow, and sobs rack my body for what seems the twentieth time in as many moments. Some music is playing in the background, some new band I discovered a few weeks back; normally, I'd be rocking out to the awesome music, maybe air-guitaring a particularly engaging solo.
But now, here... I barely notice the music is even on.
It seems that these days, my life seems to blend together; I can't tell one hour from the next, when one m

How Long Is Forever
How long is forever?
How can it ever last?
How can we look so forward
Without looking at the past?
Does it bleed through day?
Does it weep at night?
Does it tear through emotion?
Does it really have much might?
I suppose it\'s real
Though I can never tell
They tell you they\'ll be there
And leave after the bell
Maybe it\'s the beauty
That\'s infinite in today
But their wisedom upholds all
And their exterior does decay
They say they will hold you
They say they\'ll never let go
You turn your back for a second
And they\'ve become someone you don\'t know
But how can there be forever?
If you just walk away?
Without even breat
Forever, have I lost you?
You're fading from my sight.
Can you not see we're falling?
We're dying in the night.
My heart is yours, Forever,
I'll never turn away.
I'll wait for you to find me.
I'll try to make you stay.
You promised me, Forever,
To make our hearts as one.
Did you forget, Forever,
To tell me we were done?
Forever, will you hold me,
And sooth my heart to sleep?
Tell me again, Forever,
That I'm the one you'll keep.
My heart will beat, Forever,
Until you bid it rest.
I'll live for you, Forever.
I'll try to pass this test.
Forever, I feel empty,
My heart has told a lie.
Forever, can you promise
That you won't
